Concept Smoke Screen Stops Burglar in his Tracks

A smoke screen activation has prevented a burglary at a gas station in Slovenia.

On Tuesday 26th January 2010 at six minutes past midnight, a break-in occurred at a Petrol gas station 40 km outside Ljubljana. The burglar disabled the external security cameras by covering them with a bin liner and then proceeded to smash the locks on the doors gaining entry to the store area. Immediately after entering the smoke screen in the office behind the counter was triggered. Instantly startled by the sound of the machine activating, the robber turned tail and fled before the smoke even reached the cash register area.
